game time

so here we are again.  friday night.  tired-weary.  plopped on the couch.  i skipped the workout tonight.  i was too hungry by the time i got home.  One song:  rainy night in georgia :: chris young - love his deep sexy country voice and the jazzy runs he rocks in this song.

USWNT plays Costa Rica - NOW.  game time.  tea time.  peace out.

BS Fridays

yay!  it's friday!  i look forward to Friday nights during busy season.  not that it's busy season, but because i lie on the couch for hours watching tv and sipping chai tea...and i'm totally ok with it.  i'm thinking of remodeling my master bathroom.  i kinda want a bathtub so i can watch tv in the tub. and read. and drink coffee.

tomorrow, i need to do a little food shopping.  i am making some venison chili for the ravens game on Sunday.  sounds delicious.

it's been a long week.  right now, i'm very thankful for my couch.  saturday morning will be here too soon.  see you in the office.

what a great friday

It's Friday brahs.  But today was a good day, well, i am still at work, but relatively "good."  why is that you say?  ok, first thing's first, last night i saw country strong and that in itself was just a booster to get me through today.  fridays during busy season are special.  not only do we get to wear jeans and flannel, but today in particular was dunk'n donuts day.  i def licked my fingers of some of that glaZe.  the coffee was outstanding.  next...i decided to buy sugarland tickets on the second they went on sale (coming to merriweather PP in May with Little Big Town and Matt Nathanson). 

got some dang good seats or should i say standing room spac-es.  Ok, then the best thing of all, i got this great email from my soccer coach at Messiah.  great for several reasons.  first being the fact that he took the time to write us (the MWS alumni and I was first on the list) on his update on life email.  sooooo, i took a time out at work and decided to respond with an update on MY life and even better, he responded to my response email...and then this cycle continued amidst some LOL moments.  shooot, i have to work tomorrow.

Talk'n about the Phillies

Baseball season is O-V-E-R; but my love for the Philadelphia Phillies has not dwindled, despite falling short of expectation.  (I'm still asking for a new Phillies hat for Christmas.)  There is so much talk about Jayson Werth and his free agency.  I mean, serioiusly, he's pretty freaking awesome...my roommate definitely is in love with him - and his grizzly-like beard. 

I'm def. in agreement with Gary, dude who wrote an open letter to Jayson (and Ruben Amaro).  My words to Jayson are simple:

     Dear Jayson, 
     Please stay.

Additionally, the Phillies announced that they will be increasing ticket prices for lower level seats next season.  Darn.

Thank goodness it is Friday.  (That means that tomorrow is Saturday.)  Friday also means casual dress and football jersey day in the office (i.e. purple Friday in honor of the Ravens).  Yay.  First of all, sorry, but I'm not a true Ravens fan.   Second, I def wore my David Beckham long-sleeve (superseded) Real Madrid jersey.  It might be a stretch, but it is a real futbol jersey and I always get nice compliments and/or dirty looks for wearing it.  Well, it's much nicer than your purple mesh f-ball jersey.
